Durham | July 11-13, 2016

In Durham, we are grateful to be hosted by the Power Plant Gallery at the American Tobacco Campus. This workshop will be an intensive three-day experience of writing exercises, feedback and a handful of readings. We will also have a visit from a meditation guide and bring him into the conversation.

The idea for the workshop in general comes from the desire to treat writing as a life practice that helps you engage differently with the world, develop empathy and humility, and to explore creative thinking. As with other practices, dedication and play are important, a published product far less so.

Whether you leave the workshop with a notebook full of fresh prose, ideas, insights into your creative process, and also whether or not you want to share your writing, is all up to you. We will also read and converse about relevant writings–see the Reading List page for a sampling.

Workshop Schedule:

Monday, July 11 through Wednesday, July 13 from 6-8pm each evening.

You are welcome to register for the workshop at any time. After you fill out the registration form we will send a confirmation email.
